Geoff began losing his hearing as a teenager, on account of otosclerosis. Thanks to many wonderful doctors and a succession of ever-improving hearing aids, he never became totally deaf, and he was deeply grateful to the NHS for giving him a cochlear implant when he was 79. This enabled him to enjoy conversation with his family and others until the very end of his life. Geoff was a long-time supporter of the RNID, which subsequently changed its name to Action on Hearing Loss, and so we invite you to contribute to the work of this charity in his memory.
